About
I grew up in Guadalajara and have taught Spanish in Chicago since 2016. Most of my students learned some Spanish at school. They can read it, but they freeze when someone answers.
You do most of the talking, about your own week. I note your mistakes and email them to you after class. We start the next lesson with them.
I teach Mexican Spanish and tell you when other Spanish-speaking countries say it differently. I'm a certified DELE examiner.

Which Spanish do you teach?
Mexican Spanish, the variety you'll hear most in the US. When other Spanish-speaking countries say it differently, I tell you.
I'm a complete beginner. Is that OK?
Yes. About a third of my students start from zero, and you speak from the first lesson.
Can you prepare me for the DELE?
Yes. I'm a DELE examiner, so we practise the real tasks, timed. Most students need 8 to 12 lessons per level.
How often should I book?
Once a week. Twice if you have a deadline.
What do I need?
A laptop or tablet with a camera and headphones. I email you the video link before the lesson.
Can I reschedule?
Yes, free, up to 24 hours before. Just email me.
